Clive williams

Clive Williams taught art for more than thirty years in London and Cornwall and continued to lead workshops after he officially retired. He was an Executive Committee Member of the Plymouth Society of Artists and Director of the St Ives society of Artists Ltd. His work shows in many local galleries and states: Paintings subjectively portray how the passage of time has moulded the present day landscape by encompassing both natural and manmade land-markings. The topography is described using surface marks and textures to suggest geological and climatic erosion, sustained agriculture, sites of ancient transient habitation, manmade linear field enclosure, and the changing seasonal colours. Sadly Clive passed away in October 2015.
