Jenny beavan

Jenny’s work is primarily sculptural and her key interest is in the unpredictable nature of geological change, particularly the role water plays in this action. Employing often simple construction methods, she uses opposing materials to introduce tension into the work. She taught at University College Falmouth, before visiting the Orient and recently was awarded an Arts Council Fellowship Residency to work with the china clay producing pits in Cornwall. She was also awarded the Cornwall Crafts Association Craftsmanship Award 2009.
