Chris Hawkins trained in Plymouth and then under Hugh West at the West Pottery, Chris moved to his present pottery on the banks of the Tamar in South East Cornwall in 1996. From this base, over many years he has developed his distinctive and colourful raku process, enhancing the copper glaze through the process of rapid heat and rapid cooling with smoking.
