Jill Whittaker after many years in the jewellery trade has trained herself to become a pre-eminent glass artist and textile maker. She has a large flat bed kiln which makes it possible to melt coloured glass over piles of wet silica sand to form exquisite, eccentric forms and bowls. But it is her sense of colour that raises her above the many practitioners in this field.
