Katy (E.K.) Hughes is Swedish by birth and is both a painter and a silver jeweller who lives in Pendeen. She brings an element of Scandanavia to her art, expressed in her paintings by the warm under-painting and bright colours that bring to mind the colourful summer meadows while her silver, copper and brass jewellery evinces natural forms and stylized birds.
