Exhibition Party on Saturday November
13th 2 - 4.30pm.

I was born in Cornwall and grew up close to the beautiful Whitsand Bay in the south east of the county,we are sometimes called the "Tamar Valley".I currently live in Liskeard with my long term partner and our two sons Caleb and Joshua,I have a small studio which is based in the centre of the town. I have recently finished six years of study in the arts,I started my studies in Interior Design then studied Decorative Techniques in Design and Craft, both courses were at Duchy College near Launceston, after that I studied an Hnd in Fine Art Textiles at Cornwall College Camborne and have recently completed an Fda in Fine Art Practice at Camborne.Whilst studying at Camborne I won an art competition run by Sir Robert McAlpine and my work is now displayed in the foyer of the Pool Innovation Centre.

I am primarily a painter but mono-printing is also a prevalent part of my practice.I was introduced to the use of alternative materials on the fine art textiles course and have used them ever since, these include bitumen,wood-dyes,varnishes and gloss and tile paints, recently I have been combining these materials with the more traditional ones of oil paints and acrylics with some interesting results.Demonstrated across my work is a deep passion for the natural environment,in recent projects I have focussed on the geological layers in the land and also on natures natural forms, these give a continuing source for new projects.
