Roy Goodman used to be a leading chemist with the china clay works in mid Cornwall before taking early retirement to concentrate on his painting. Largely self taught over the last fifteen years, he has developed a visual language that depends upon his ability to use pure colour, without muddying the pigments, to deliver bright landscapes that capture the joy of fine summer days.
