Jesse Leroy Smith attended the RA schools. He has been a frequent exhibitor in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. He runs the renowned University College Falmouth print summer school each year and is highly active in the West Cornwall Art scene for the remainder of the year organizing exhibitions and happenings, most recently at the Exchange Gallery in Penzance.
