St Ives artist Christine Brunnock called in to the gallery recently with some new paintings including this one on aluminium panel; hopefully the photo does justice to the floating three-dimensional effect she achieves.
The Cornish coast, along with a vivid imagination, provides Christine with continual inspiration, assisting the need to communicate without words. “I mainly use acrylic paint and sometimes mixed media and I process my thoughts, memories and perception of a coastal walk or visit to the beach. I use brushes, palette knives and whatever else to hand to make marks. I continue to evolve and I like to play and experiment with ideas, creating drama or serenity; sharing my own subconscious awareness of coastal experiences.”
